I’ll Never

I'll never reach the place I like,
If I had lost my way.

I'll never be a good man,
If I don't correct myself when I'm wrong.

I'll never wait till the clouds roll by,
If I had no patience.

I'll never take life seriously,
If I were too playful.

I'll never achieve what I desire,
If I were so ignorant.

I'll never be rude,
If I were too innocent.

I'll never be penny-pinching,
If I were truly generous.

I'll never make anyone dull,
If I were very jovial.

I'll never make hay while the sun shines,
If I happen to come out after  sunset.

I'll never play second fiddle,
If I were straightforward.

How Would it Be?

How vacant the palace would be,
Without a queen?

How nasty the mind would be,
Without conscience?

How worst the politico would be,
Without policy?

How one-sided the parliament would be,
Without an opposition?

How boring a poem would be,
Without lies?

How horrible the society would be,
Without elders?

How awful the earth would be,
Without children?

How empty this place would be,
Without scholars?

How lonely this land would be,
Without girls?

How bare this area would be,
Without trees?

How dull this world would be,
Without music?

How disgusting this region would be,
Without art?

How lifeless this globe would be,
Without humor?

I'm Honest

I'm honest,
To those who trust me.

I'm friendly,
With those who value friendship.

I'm kind,
To those who respect me.

I'm humble,
With those who regard simplicity.

My Fan Rosalin

My Fan Rosalin,
Mastered herself in playing the mandolin.

After a couple o;drinks,
She blinks.

When she sits to dine,
She looks fine.

Sometimes she's wild,
But often she behaves like a child.

Evenings, she gazes at the sky,
And watches the clouds roll by.

She says her mind is so broad,
I know, she's is not at all a fraud.

She is'nt bothered 'bout "The Family Tree ".
That's why she's free.

She leads a jovial life,
Her hubby says "Rosalin is a good wife ".

My Love To'ards Life

My love to'ards life has gone worse,
I know, it's a curse.
I mix my virtues with a little vice,
And still my ego says "I'm so wise.

THE KISS

That thrush .......
Did she, too, see the angels in the waters
That time we kissed ?
And did that blackbird see
The rainbow that in breathless wonder caught us ?
The mist
On snow -white blossom on the winter tree ?
Were there
Jewelled peacocks on the lawns emerald gleaming
And marvels in the grey and sodden sky ?
Ah, was it so, my love, or were we dreaming ?
Did any see these things save you and I ?
